The sister of Charleston shooter, Dylann Storm Roof, Amber Roof has this afternoon cancelled a gofundme page solicitation after seeking funds from the public after her brother screwed up her ‘wedding of a lifetime’ by having the temerity to go out and kill nine black men and women at local black historic church, Emanuel A.M.E. Church.
With the sister’s wedding set to take place a four days on the weekend after the massacre, Amber Roof was compelled to put a hold on her wedding and honeymoon because of all the bad air floating after the aroma of nine dead people reached her doorstep.
Wrote bluntly Amber and her husband to be, Michael Tyo on their ‘A fresh start for Michael and Amber’ gofundme page: ‘…media abused our privacy and published all of our wedding information and destroyed our dream day.’
Pissed that she had to give up her dream weekend (lets hop Dylan was at least invited….?) the killer’s sister decided last night to go out and solicit the $5000 she was forced to give up after her brother went out and became a national bogeyman.
With $1600 received courtesy of 30 wonderful souls and a promise to donate 10% of the proceeds back to the targeted church, Amber decided late this afternoon that her gofundme page was probably lacking in tact and sensitivity (isn’t online media wonderful?) when she pulled the plug.
What do you think kids? Isn’t it time to once in a while at least make a pretense of caring about other people’s pain other than yours? It might help have less people wishing for your blood.
But at least Amber was able to find 30 souls who understood her plight before she had to kick the money away. Oh well, never mind Amber, think of it this way- you’re still alive to live another day and look deeply into Michael’s eyes….
And below the gofundme plea before the media ruined things for Amber and Michael… oh well.
Dear Family & Friends,
As many of you know Michael and I had to abruptly cancel our wedding day, due to the tragedy that occurred in Charleston. June 21st was suppose to be the happiest day of our lives. It is the day every girl dreams of, it was the day we dreamed of. We had each other, we have the perfect venue, and we had our vows ready to be read. We were ready! We had planned out every detail for months and months. It was going to be the PERFECT day!
Our wedding day was suppose to be the most important and special day of our lives. It was suppose to start our lives together with our new family. Our day was the exact opposite. Our wedding day was full of sorrow, pain, and shame, tainted by the actions of one man.
The Charleston Massacre took place and our lives were forever changed. The media abused our privacy and published all of our wedding information and destroyed our dream day. Destroying the first day of Michael and my life together.
We cancelled our wedding to protect our family and mourn the lives of those lost. Many friends and family members came into town and took time off of work to be there for us. We could not ask you to do that again.
We would like the chance to start our lives on a postive note. Therefore, we have decided to start a Go Fund Me account. We know money cannot replace the wedding we lost and our perfect day, however it will help us to create new memories and a new start with our new family.
Money raised will be used to cover lost wedding costs, to pay bills, and to send us on our dream honeymoon. 10% of all funds raised will be donated to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. We thank you for any contrabution you can make.
Our lives have been forever changed and touched by all the love and support you have shown us through this difficult time. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! GOD BLESS!
Love, The Tyo’s
she should have thought about wedding costs and honeymoon costs and saved her money……why should someone just give her money because she asks for it…..NEVER………….there are people in the world that actually need money, and health care………gloria
