Kids it’s time to meet Michigan’s Adrianne Lewis who has her hopes set on being crowned the Guinness World Record for the longest tongue.
According to the 18 year old, her tongue is an enviable (or maybe not?) 4 inches long which allows her privileges that mere mortals are unable to do, including the ability to lick her own nose, chin, elbow and for good measure her eyeball as well.
Yes kids, I’ll pause for a second while you poke your tongue out and see how far you can make it go across your face.
According to metro, Lewis just might have the longest tongue in the world as her nearest competitor, current Guiness book record holder, Nick Stoeberl can only boast a 3. 9 inches sticking out.
Practice make perfect Nick. Keep stretching.
According to Adrianne’s mother, Julianne, long tongues run in the family.
Tells the mother via Bancroft tv: ‘Her great grandfather – his tongue was very long, my mother had a very long tongue, I have a long tongue, and now she does’
That said Adrianne thinks the reason for her long tongue may have a lot to do with the fact that she spends a lot of time sticking it out in the hope of stretching it that extra bit longer.
Countered Adrianne: ‘I feel as though I may have inherited it, but I think with time and me being the weird kid that I was and always sticking out my tongue, it could have stretched it.’
While she waits for confirmation on her record, Adrianne has been sharing her talent with the world via a series of Youtube videos, and goes by the nickname ‘Long tongue Lewis’.
That said not everyone is necessarily stoked about Adrianne’s uber long tongue, including her boyfriend Tim Hegedus who tells of coming across some ‘astonishing comments’ online regarding his girlfriend’s tongue.

Rude comments aside, Hegedus offered: ‘It’s the internet so there’s a lot of weird people there. I’ve seen some comments that have made me uncomfortable.’
‘If I could fight the internet, I would – but there’s not much I can do.
‘Just appreciate the person that’s attached to the tongue, that’s all I have to say.’
