The materials were very in keeping with this season’s themes: luxurious and varied. Leather, velvet, furs, knits, silk, satin details, tweed, and lots of metallics. The styling of the pieces was a big part of the overall feeling of the collection: once viewed as individual items of clothing, they are very diverse and would fit in almost anyone’s wardrobe.  For example, a black and flowy knit cape when worn with a yellow miniskirt and oxfords is distinctly preppy, but put it with some leather leggings and Pamela Love jewelry and it’s a whole other ballgame. A long, flowing orange gown with a pleated skirt feels fresh and youthful when worn under an oversized coat, but on a red carpet it would be dramatic and glamorous.

    a. Few things that make us bow our heads in sorrow, a few things that make us remember what it is that makes us define an ” european mind” whatever the fuck we mean by this by the time we mistrust what is meant by ‘European”
