Louda Larrain glams the Global Fashion show at F.I.T.

Louda had once again proved deserving of such admiration from the attendees of this charity event, as each piece in the collection exuded confidence and sexuality while remaining in the confinements of comfort as the textile choices remain that of yarn, feathers and thread. It is obvious that each model is wearing a piece that takes time, dedication, and passion, true words that are used to describe an artist. Louda’s knitted jackets are paired with feather bikinis and her floor woven length gowns are paired with extra long shawls. Some of her pieces are so finely braided that they almost seem to be intertwined like a spider might weave a web, leaving us to question on how the pieces remains so intact yet so beautiful.

At the end of her show, I was anxious to flee the confinements of my alma mater’s “Great hall,” but I was more anxious to see more from Louda. While stuck watching the other 6 designers present I found myself in the predicament of patiently waiting for a chance to see what brilliantly innovative and timeless designs will be in Louda Larrain’s future, because I am certain they will astonish me to complete reverence and awe.
