The deceitful tricks of pseudo celebrities.

Suddenly I look up from my phone and realize what a woeful trick this all is, that publicists and their clients are in fact just trying to use their contacts with certain journals to continue propagating some idea that certain people and their non achievements matter. Let’s be clear – they do not matter. They are foul individuals who got lucky and got involved in the cash pay day that frankly has run its course. Let’s be serious, the country is in disarray and yet are we to believe what passes for content is a bunch of has been psuedos walking/parading into a restaurant, all so fabulous and us there to document it? Pseudos who are desperately calling  every celebrity type tabloid late in the afternoon in the hope that one of us takes the bait and helps perpetuate the myth of non entities living the glam.

Let me tell you now Andy Cohen of BRAVO“YOU ARE AS FAKE AS THEY COME. PLEASE GET A GRIP AND GIVE US MEANINGFUL CONTENT INSTEAD OF THIS VULGAR CHARADE. UNDERSTOOD!!’

Of course we can go into the dynamics of how this charade propagated itself and how thanks to journals like GoG who peddle pedestrian individuals into believing that they too are designated individuals of society that we should all collectively pander to. Why? Because you made it in a photo? You were tagged? You are a part time model? Because you went to the correct grammar school? Because your dad is important? Because you deserve it? Because you collectively inspire us?

Is that not a betrayal of all those individuals who are actually forging a real identity, discovering cures for cancer, writing plays that matter, creating art that fosters inspiration, diplomats that help resolve world crises, politicians that are willing to make brave choices, charities and foundations that are willing to challenge certain stereo types and bring much needed funds to the real champions of our society? Are we not focusing on the wrong segment of society and instead rewarding pathetic tricksters?

“The best 2000 dollars I threw down the drain,” we reckon…

  1. I just received a letter from Jill Zarin’s representative – Darren Bettencourt asserting that he too is equally mortified and that by no means was Jill Zarin aware that such a request was made on her part nor was she aware that said request was made and pursuant to further discussions with undisclosed publicist and the restaurant a formal letter will be mailed disclaiming any involvement on Jill Zarin’s part.

This should be interesting. Stay tuned…
