SCV: So there was this pressure to conform to some stereotype?
KB: I think you have to understand I enjoy being me and I didn’t see the point of becoming some frail girl if that is what is being asked of me.
SCV: Then you said, let me try out for the Victoria Secret’s national roll call late last year?
KB: Yeah, it was done on a whim. I went in with no expectations and the next thing I know they’re telling me I just won and I don’t think it really sunk in until much later.
SCV: How has joining the main line up with Doutzen Kroes, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Marissa Miller and some of the other Victoria Secrets super models changed your career?
KB: It’s changed it a lot, I immediately got signed up with IMG, traveled to St Barts to shoot the Victoria Secrets catalogue, being offered acting gigs in Los Angeles where I am now also entertaining an acting career and pursuing lots of modeling work.
SCV: How have the girls from Victoria Secrets taken to you?
KB: We’ve really become close. They offer me tips on how to work with the camera, how to mange oneself in the business.
SCV: How does one manage themselves in the business?
KB: With nerves of steel. To roll with the punches.
