Offering a sophisticated twist to the plethora of fitted forms was Emilio de la Morena. Pleated sections, intricate folds and floaty ruffles softened strong silhouettes, as did painterly watercolour shades. Emilio describes his work as ‘sculptural chic’ and honed his trade in Jonathan Saunder’s studio, an influence that has continued to inspire the up and coming designer.
Elsewhere, Henry Holland added fun to the proceedings with bold stripes, graphic prints and abbreviated acronyms that provide much language for avid text and social networkers. The likes of Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof posed and pouted for the paps who were practically fighting to snap off a few shots. Where is the glamour I ask you?
