LFW: Day 4.

Part performance, part show, Ziad Ghanem literally got his audience on their feet and cranking their necks to see more. Think old school couture meets Brazilian burlesque add some blouses on boys and a dash of vibrant print and you only get a hint of the story. Personal favourites included his show-stopping corsets, couture inspired dresses and flamboyant dandy suits.

Celebrating the art of undressing Ziad’s models were as diverse as his designs from the bold and heavily tattooed to the plus plus size and a lot more in-between. The designer commented: “I cast my models for their personalities and attitudes and not just their looks.”

International burlesque performer Immodesty Blaize spectacularly rounded-off the proceedings by stripping away not one, but two couture gowns before flashing her pasties and shaking her bootie. You’ve got to love Ziad (and we do…).
