Once again a star studded show, the front rows pageants to the make shift arena of a NY who’s who of society and rising media. Who was really rising though was Mr. Herchovitch with his textured weaved layered fabrics, a conscientious attempt to be versatile to the neurotic modern consumer. With the aura of happy hippy chicks strolling in post impressionistic garb, the colors converging from a distance like a post impressionistic painting we were treated to a whimsical display of revelry and color coordination and light fabrics.
What definitely worked was the idea of using sleeping caps (the ones they used to offer you on the airlines…) and using them as motifs for veiled hats and accessories. What also worked was the layered look, a clever ensemble of patois frocks over slinky pants. All in all a wonderful show that left one feeling as much as the front wanted to be the scene, the real scene was the man behind the scene.
