Germiran Bryson abandons puppy at Las Vegas Airport after unable to produce documentation to bring animal on board flight as service dog, telling police that the pooch had a tracking device and ‘would find her.’

A 26-year-old woman is accused of attempting to abandon her 2-year-old dog while attempting to board at Las VegasHarry Reid International Airport as surveillance video captured the traveler tying her pooch to a baggage handler after she was unable to produce documentation to bring the animal on board her flight.

Police responded to Terminal 3 around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 for a report of a dog left at the JetBlue ticket counter. The dog was tied to a metal carry-on baggage sizer the LVMPD stated in a release shared on X.

Germiran Bryson, 26, who police said abandoned the dog, then proceeded toward her departure gate after she was denied a boarding pass for failing to provide the necessary online documentation to travel with the animal as a service dog.

‘Don’t worry,’ my dog will find me, it has a tracking device!’

Police later located Bryson at Gate D1. 8NewsNow cited police saying the woman claimed the dog would return to her since it had a tracking device.

Police said Bryson became hostile and resisted officers’ attempts to arrest her.

The woman was arrested and booked on charges of animal abandonment, resisting arrest, and providing a false statement to or obstructing a public officer, police said.

In a video released Wednesday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were seen speaking to Bryson.

‘What we’re going to do is we’re going to walk you back to where your dog’s at,’ an officer said in the video. ‘And we are going to issue you a citation.’

Abandoned dog, JetBlue to find new home

Airport staff and officers cared for the approximately 2-year-old golden doodle/mini poodle until animal control took custody. Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas took the animal in after Bryson failed to return to claim her dog during the required 10-day hold period.

‘This sweet boy is incredible. Truly incredible. And after everything he’s been through, the thought of him ever experiencing abandonment again has us on very high alert,’ the animal rescue said in a Facebook post.

Because the charges Bryson faces are misdemeanors, she was not required to post bond. Her next court date was scheduled for March 31.

The dog, now named ‘Jet Blue,’ is in foster care and awaiting adoption.

The animal rescue revealed that JetBlue has already sparked a flood of adoption applications, but they’ll review each one carefully to make sure he’s never left stranded again.

‘We will be extremely intentional in choosing his forever family,’ they shared.
