Michael Neil arrested: An Indiana husband is charged with a felony crime after waking up to find his wife cheating with her lover and then stabbing the man.
An Indiana husband has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man who he discovered making love with his wife after being woken up at the family home.
Michael Neil, 29 was booked on a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon- WXIN reported – following the incident at an Elwood apartment, Monday morning.
Neil told police he woke up in the apartment and discovered his wife engaged in sex with a male lover.
He then allegedly grabbed a knife from the bedroom and stabbed the man multiple times.
Officers arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. to find the victim outside suffering from multiple stab wounds and unconscious the Herald Bulletin reported.
Officers also said Neil suffering injuries after physically engaging his wife’s lover.
Both the lover – who was not publicly identified and the husband were transported to hospital.
During questioning, police said, ‘Neil admitted that he grabbed a knife from the bedroom and started stabbing the other male’.
Following charges against the husband, Neil was being held without bond at Madison County Detention Center.
The stabbing remains under investigation, officials said.
