Caleb Flynn‘s 24-year-old mistress expressed several shocking revelations in the former American Idol contestant’s murder trial on Wednesday afternoon.
Alleigha Botner admitted having a ‘yearslong’ affair with Flynn, whom she met at Christian Life Center in Dayton, Ohio, in 2022.
She testified her relationship with Caleb Flynn remained professional when they met at church in December 2022 … until March of 2024. That’s when she testified the relationship became sexual.

Caleb Flynn mistress reveals ex American Idol singer hated wife
The pair exchanged hundreds of thousands of text messages during their covert tryst in the years leading up to his wife Ashley’s slaying.
Ashley, 37, was shot twice in the head while she slept in her family home in February 2026. Prosecutors allege that the former American Idol star staged the scene as a burglary to maintain his lifestyle, career, and a secret affair with church intern Botner.
During her internship, Botner said she learned ‘how to be the best worship leader I could be,’ from the American Idol contestant.
She testified that Caleb told her he was allowed to have feelings for her because Ashley had cheated on him, that he hated his wife, and that they were only together for the kids.
As the pair’s relationship became romantic in 2024, she revealed how Flynn would express that he ‘hated’ his wife and ‘couldn’t stand’ his wife’s family.
Botner revealed that she and Flynn would call his wife ‘spawn of satan, b**** and douchebag’ as they discussed his relationship. The pair would regularly meet for sex in his truck at a Chipotle parking lot, and even got matching tattoos.

Prosecutors have pointed to the alleged affair between Flynn and the church worker and their more than 100,000 back and forth texts as motivating reasons why the former American Idol singer would’ve wanted his wife, Ashley dead so that he could then continue his affair with Botner uninhibited.
Caleb Flynn’s former mistress testified that she advised him on how to delete data from his devices the night before his wife, Ashley, was killed. Alleigha Botner said she had advised Flynn on wiping data ‘multiple times’ during their affair. Asked when, Botner responded: ‘One of them being the night before Ashley was murdered.’
Flynn, 40, has pleaded not guilty on all charges against him, maintaining that a home intruder killed his wife while he slept with the pair’s two pre-teen daughters in a room just feet away.
Botner has insisted that she knew nothing of her lover’s alleged plans nor of any intent to allegedly murder wife, Ashley. The former lover insisted that their affair lasted two years and finished well before Ashley’s murder in December, 2025.
The trial continues.
