A Tennessee college student found unresponsive in her dorm room last week has been pronounced dead.
Zoe Robinson, 22, who attended Welch college in Gallatin, TN, was declared dead on April 16 after she was found unresponsive in her residence hall room, according to a statement from the college.
Stated Welch College in a release on April 18: ‘We are deeply saddened to share that one of our students, Zoe Robinson, passed away late in the evening of April 16 after being found unresponsive in her residence hall room,’ the college statement read.
No cause of death given
President J. Matthew Pinson announced the provision of support for students, faculty, and staff, during this difficult period.
‘Please especially keep Max, Zoe’s brother and a current Welch student, in your prayers, along with the entire Robinson family. We are grateful for your prayers for Zoe’s family and for our campus community,’ the statement concluded.
The college said President Pinson remains in close communication with Robinson’s family and that they are committed to caring for them during this time.

School officials declined to state if the Welch college student had an underlying health condition or had been experiencing mental health woes.
No further details were provided on the cause or manner of Robinson’s death.
A memorial service is planned for April 22, 2026 at 7p.m at the Celerio Hall at Welch College located at 1045 Bison Trail, Gallatin.
