Elijah Joseph Hoard fails to make Chicago O’Hare Airport international flight as man’s family say missing son has mental illness and limited funds and has yet to be located as they now seek his safe whereabouts.
A 23-year old man dropped off at Chicago’s International O’Hare Airport has gone missing after failing to make an international flight he was booked for.
Elijah Joseph Hoard, 23, was last seen on Friday, Feb. 27, and may be in need of medical attention according to family members.
Hoard, who lives in France, was dropped off at the airport by his dad on Friday, but family said he never boarded his flight, according to WLS.

Elijah reportedly was visiting his dad, Antwon Hoard, in Chicago and spent 10 days in the city before he was set to return home the outlet reported.
Hoard’s father said his son has a mental illness and was hesitant to go home.
‘Everything seemed pretty normal the first eight days, but the last two days his whole mood had swung, and he was really adamant about not going back home, and he didn’t want to go home,’ Antwon explained.
Missing Chicago son’s phone turned off
The dad said his son’s phone has been off since Friday night, according to WLS. He also claimed Elijah only has enough money to be on his own for a few days.
‘Obviously when you have a missing child it’s all unsettling,’ Antwon said, ‘but I’m not the type of guy that’s going to be nervous or overreact until we have more information.’
Elijah Hoard is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a medium complexion.
Elijah Hoard was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and cream colored shoes.
