Despite no physical proof being provided by alleged abductors of whether missing Savannah Guthrie, Today show host mom, Nancy being alive (or not), the search for the missing 84-year-old matriarch now enters its 9th day.
A purported ransom note from Nancy’s abductors instructed the Guthrie family to come up with $6 million in bitcoin for the mom’s safe release by Monday 5 p.m, Tucson, Arizona time.

In a previous appeal to would be abductors, Savannah Guthrie and her sibling stated they would be ‘willing to pay’ conditional on proof that physical evidence existed to show that the mom who failed to to turn up to February 1 church services was still alive. But as of yet with just hours away from the second and final deadline, would be abductors have not offered any clues of the mother’s existence or not.
The fact that a first alleged ransom note was sent to a celebrity media outlet, TMZ, based in Los Angeles followed up days later with a second ransom note to KOLD, a Tucson, AZ based outlet didn’t necessarily corroborate the notion of the legitimate existence of kidnappers — wouldn’t the first go to source of ransom note be the family itself or local police or the FBI — but rather morbid individuals who knew enough about the missing mom’s case, seeking to take advantage of the family’s plight.
Savannah Guthrie releases Monday video
As the second ransom deadline approached, Savannah Guthrie released a Monday video thanking and acknowledging her supporters while sharing the grief and surreal nature of her mother’s abrupt disappearance.
‘We believe our mom is still out there and we need your help,’ the celebrity anchor stated somberly.
Adding, ‘law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken and we don’t know where and we need your help!’
Savannah implored beyond the community’s prayers, that if anyone saw anything untoward pertaining to the case to step forward and to reach out to law enforcement
Nation watches on spellbound, waiting for proof that 84-year-old mom is still alive
As the nation continues to await spellbound as to the whereabouts of Nancy and whether Savannah and her siblings will ‘blink’ and pay the purported ransom, investigators who previously stated that they believed Nancy was alive, continued to search for the matriarch.
Of note, investigators have to date declined to affirm or deny whether the purported ransom notes were real or fake.
Possibly the most logical and sad reality is that Nancy Guthrie who has a number of cardio health issues and who is in constant need of vital daily medication was no longer alive as much as the nation wanted her to be as the hours and minutes tick towards 5 p.m.
