Texas A&M student, Brianna Aguilera of Laredo dies hours after attending Austin rivalry game party as her family now demands answers.

A Texas A&M student died hours after attending a tailgate party in Austin over the weekend leading to the 19-year-old’s mother now questioning the nature of her daughter’s death.

Brianna Aguilera, a Laredo native and aspiring lawyer, was discovered deceased outside an apartment building by Austin Police in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Was Brianna Aguilera Texas A&M student pushed to her death?

The Austin Police Department had yet to reveal a cause of death or even identify the deceased by name. The deceased woman was identified by her mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, who is demanding an investigation into the student’s sudden death.

According to the official department press release, police responded to a report of an unresponsive female at an address just west of the University of Texas campus. Officers pronounced her dead at the scene at 12:57am, KBTX reported.

Aguilera’s family told the outlet that they are ‘looking for answers’ surrounding her death, and are only aware of the fact that she attended the tailgate.

Of note, police does not consider the death to be suspicious and isn’t investigating the 19-year-old’s death as a homicide. Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will ultimately determine the cause of death – a process that can take months.

But according to Rodriguez, officers told her Aguilera jumped to her death from the 17th floor of an apartment building.

‘There are a lot of inconsistencies with the story,’ Rodriguez told KSAT.com. ‘He told me they said she jumped, and then he told me that the friends said they didn’t know her whereabouts.’

Rodriguez stressed to KSAT that her daughter wasn’t suicidal, and was instead hopeful about becoming a practicing lawyer some day.

What’s more, Rodriguez believes at least one of the 15 people inside the apartment at the time of her death knows more about the tragedy.

‘There was a fight that happened between my daughter and another girl, and they were all staying in the same apartment that I have actual text messages of, and the detective just disregarded them,’ Rodriguez said.

The dead girl’s mother has come short of claiming her daughter was pushed to her death or even murdered.

Aguilera was among many students in Austin for Friday’s Texas-Texas A&M game, where the Longhorns upset the previously undefeated Aggies.

Aguilera was originally from the Laredo area and was a graduate of United High School, where she was a cheerleader and honors student.

According to her Instagram page, Aguilera was an avid football fan and cheerleader.
