Mississippi college student Patrick McClintock arrested for hurling antisemitic comment at Dave Portnoy during pizza review.
A 20-year-old junior mechanical engineering student at Mississippi State University is alleged to have made anti-semitic remarks towards Barstools founder, Dave Portnoy.
Patrick McClintock, was arrested on Monday and charged with disturbing the peace after a video circulated showing him heckling the outspoken and often divisive media personality while Portnoy was filming a ‘One Bite’ pizza review outside Boardtown Pizza & Pints in Starkville, Mississippi.
MSU student taunts divisive media personality
The derogatory remark was made on Friday during an MSU game weekend according to according to CBS News. Video shows McClintock reportedly yelling ‘F— the Jews!’ and throwing coins at Portnoy.
McClintock was processed and released on a $2,500 bond. A warrant had been issued over the weekend according to the Starkville Police Department.
McClintock was identified as the individual making the offensive remarks in the video after police were ‘made aware of a video circulating online that depicted an individual yelling an antisemitic statement and throwing coins toward another person outside a local business,’ according to the Reflector, the Mississippi State University’s student newspaper,
The local police department noted that while offensive speech is generally protected, when behavior disrupts a public event or risks safety, action will be taken.

‘Every person has the right to feel safe and respected in our community,’ Starkville Police said in a statement. ‘Offensive words alone are protected, but when behavior disrupts a public event or risks violence, the Starkville Police Department will take steps to help maintain safety and security.’
Portnoy, who is Jewish, said in an interview that antisemitism is something he faces ‘every day’ and believes this incident underscores a broader shift in the national climate. Never mind that much of Portnoy’s media cache comes from instigating and agitating the greater public. Which is to wonder, to what degree is some of the venom directed towards him is self inflicted?
Come Monday, McClintock voluntarily withdrew from MSU as a student the nypost reported.
