Shawn Singer, Creve Couer, Missouri man beats up shopper at Dierbergs grocery store for being a foreigner.
‘I’m tired of foreigners, man…’ A Missouri man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting another customer at a Creve Couer area grocery store.
Shawn Singer, 31, of Creve Coeur is alleged to have ‘indiscriminately’ assaulted a shopper, Friday night after saying they were not white according to the St. Louis County Police Department.
Following his arrest, Singer was charged with fourth-degree assault motivated by discrimination. The local man remained held on a $40,000 cash-only bond.
‘Go back to your f—ing country,’
According to a probable cause statement, St. Louis County police responded at about 6 p.m. Friday to the Dierbergs in Heritage Place for a report of a fight KSDK reported.
Upon arriving at the store, Singer allegedly told police, ‘I’m tired of foreigners, man. Walking all over the place, making our money cost so much more than it should. F—ing people trampling over us.’
Adding, ‘I’m next f—— going to China to take them down because they were part of the COVID vaccine, virus.’
At some point the two men had an interaction in a shopping aisle, which led to Singer allegedly telling the victim, ‘Go back to your f—ing country,’ according to the probable cause statement.
The victim asked if he had ever done anything to Singer, leading to Singer approaching the victim, raising his fists and swinging in the victim’s direction. The victim tried to get away only to stumble and fall to the floor, and Singer repeatedly striking him in the face and upper body.
Singer only stopped the assault upon being informed police were on their way to the store.
Following his arrest, police said Singer continued making derogatory statements about immigrants, including, ‘Don’t blame this on me, man. There’s people who are from other countries that are taking jobs away from us,’ and ‘Foreigners are taking over.’
The attack is the latest against foreigners in the weeks since Donald Trump returning to the White House and ramping up his drive to deport illegals who the two time president has repeatedly blamed for the vast economic insecurity that continues to plague America and appeal to his MAGA base.
CAIR the largest Muslim civic rights group in the U.S has since implored prosecutors to charge Singer with hate crime charges.
