A Texas college student at Ole Miss (probably because of her pleasing to the eye looks) has found herself the subject of rampant online speculation, that she slept with her boyfriend’s private banker father. Accusations she has strenuously denied and which has since led to her threatening legal action against various media outlets.
Mary Kate Cornett, 18, a student at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) attempting to ward off rampant viral speculation (and her reputation as a virtuous Miss Greek college life sex symbol) has denied the ‘baseless rumours,‘ which she has categorised as ‘absolutely false.’ Except no one still believes her.
Cornett, released a statement denouncing the ‘deliberate and coordinated cyber-attack spreading categorically false and defamatory information.’

Threats of legal action and resolve to find alleged perpetrator of cyber attack
The Houston teenager also condemned Antonio Brown and Pat McAfee from ‘ESPN College GameDay’ along with Barstool Sports for promoting what she described as ‘utter and complete lies,’ and who now could face legal action according to a statement shared by her father Justin Cornett on Facebook.
‘By now, some of you know my daughter, Mary Kate Cornett, has been the subject of a totally and categorically false, malicious, organized and defamatory cyber attack. She has been publicly doxed and our family has been forced to take protective measures to ensure her safety,’ the parent wrote.
Adding, ‘I have engaged a highly capable forensic data private investigation team to find the perpetrators. At this stage, we suspect this is some sort of fraternity prank that has mushroomed out of control. I refuse to let my family be targeted and am fully committed to pursuing all criminal and civil actions available. To those responsible, we will find you.’
Come Thursday, the Oxford Police Department confirmed that a police report had been filed regarding a cyber attack against University of Mississippi student, Mary Kate Cornett, Clarion Ledger reported.
The cyber attack alleges Mary Kate cheating on her boyfriend Evan Solis with his father, prominent Texas-based private banker Erik Solis.

College frat life princess
The hubris was fanged by a screenshot of a Snapchat message shared by X user @MAGAgeddon on Tuesday.
The post claimed that Mary Kate and Solis going out for dinner and drinks with her boyfriend’s dad after a recent basketball game, which eventually devolved into Miss Ole and the private banker dad allegedly having an affair.
The shared post further alleged that this wasn’t the first time Mary Kate had cheated on Evan, while stating they had stayed together.
The allegations soon went viral on social media, causing even more rampant speculation of sordid college and frat life.
Jumping into salvage mode, Evan Solis, Cornett’s boyfriend posted on posted on Instagram, ‘These past couple of days have been extremely difficult for everyone in my life.’
Adding, ‘The unbelievable rumors about my family and Mary Kate’s are unacceptable and need to be addressed. The accusations are unequivocally false,’ he continued, calling his faith in his father and their relationship ‘unwavering’ in the post.
‘He is wholly innocent and being unfairly slandered with no opportunity to speak on his own behalf prior to these horrendously false statements.’

Miss Ole student doxxed
The allegations also made it to the ESPN broadcast, where they were referenced by Pat McAfee and NFL player, Antonio Brown without naming any of the parties involved directly, while nevertheless mentioning Ole Miss.
In the wake of the allegations becoming the top trend on X, Erik Solis shut down his LinkedIn, and Mary Kate turned her Instagram settings to private after her cell phone number and home address were leaked online.
‘Most alarmingly, my personal contact information has been doxed [and] illegally shared publicly, putting my personal safety at risk. Many notes sent suggest I even take my own life,’ she wrote.
Mary Kate condemned social media users who’d doxxed her and said she had filed reports with campus police, local cops in Oxford, Mississippi, and the FBI, after the ‘fake story’ about her even inspired a meme coin using her likeness.
A meme coin is a cryptocurrency created by drawing inspiration from viral pop culture moments. Various cryptocurrency enthusiasts claimed on social media that the ‘Mary Kate Cornett’ (MKC) token, trading on the Solana blockchain, rocketing on Tuesday.

Stated Mary Kate, ‘For completeness, we have zero affiliation with this scam and have not participated nor know anyone who has benefited in any capacity with it whatsoever.’
She added that the ‘viral’ claims had forced her to consider moving colleges and vowing to ‘find those responsible for these utterly false accusations,’ along with launching a GoFundme fundraiser, which she promises will go toward ‘establishing a foundation focused on helping innocent victims of similar defamatory cyber attacks.’
As of Thursday evening, the ‘Stand with Mary Kate Against Defamatory Cyber Attacks’ fundraiser had raised $15,620.
