John DeMarco, Turnersville, New Jersey man, 58, killed in hit & run crash on South Jersey road. No arrests as police yet to release suspect identity or vehicle involved.
New Jersey police are seeking to identify the individual behind the wheel of an automobile that struck and killed a 58 year old pedestrian, Monday night in a fatal hit and run crash in Gloucester County.
John DeMarco, of Turnersville, was hit by a vehicle as he walked southbound along Fries Mill Road while walking along the roadway between between Riggins Gas Station and Watson Drive. The incident happened just on 8.00 pm near the entrance to the Deux Mare Estates development the Washington Township Police Department said in a Facebook release.
DeMarco was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he mortally succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The un-identified driver fled the scene, authorities said. Police to date provided no information about the suspect vehicle.
The roadway was closed for about two hours on Monday night after the crash.
An investigation into this crash, police said, is ongoing, FOX29 reported.
