A 15 month old boy in California died after he fell out of a second storey window of an apartment building last amid the ongoing heatwave in the United States.
Ulises Gonzalez Rodriguez died after the toddler fell more than 20 feet from a building in San Francisco‘s Mission neighborhood on July 3rd, officials stated.
First responders found the child’s mother holding him the boy in her arms when they arrived at the scene.

The child had life-threatening injuries and died later at San Francisco General Hospital, KRON4 reported.
Authorities have yet to say what led to the infant falling from the second story window.
Of note, authorities declined to release the identifies of the boy’s parents.
A local who lived at the building told missionlocal.org that the mother and child had been living at the building for only a couple of months. The local stated they were both nice and clean neighbors.
Supporters of Ulises’ family have donated just over $20, 721 to a GoFundMe account.
The organizer of the GoFundMe, Ulises’ grandmother Christina Canaveral, wrote: ‘On Wednesday, July 3, 2024 our world lost the most precious angel; Ulises Gonzalez Rodriguez.
‘The unimaginable has happened to this family, as no parent should have to say goodbye to their child.
Child Protection Services to investigate
‘We are hoping to raise money for funeral expenses, and care in particular for mom as she goes through this indescribable grief.
‘For close friends, we will also be sharing a meal train and times to come and be in community and process with the family, as well as details of the funeral and memorial service.
‘Please help in anyway you can, and let us wrap our arms around this special family that is going through the worst possible circumstance.’
On the day the toddler fell, San Franciscans were in the middle of a July heat wave. One neighbor, who saw the boy’s panicked mother, told KRON4, ‘It was a very sad accident … on a very hot day. We were all upset.’
Child Protective Services is investigating the child’s death.
