Carlee Russell (ex) boyfriend, Thomar Latrell Simmons disgusted & blind sighted by elaborate hoax as the jilted ex distances himself from toxic love relationship and attention seeking ex.
Love doesn’t live here anymore… Carlee Russell’s boyfriend has forever estranged himself from his now ‘former girlfriend’ after the 25 year old Alabama woman on Monday confessed to effectively staging an elaborate hoax, after admitting she never came across a wandering toddler along the freeway nor ever being abducted.
Thomar Latrell Simmons, the now former boyfriend of Carlee, 25, told of being ‘blindsided’ and ‘disgusted’ by the 25-year-old nursing student, whose actions led to authorities launching a massive rescue mission after believing she had been abducted upon purportedly coming across a wandering boy in diapers on the evening of July 13.
‘Carlee’s actions created hurt, confusion, and dishonesty,’ Simmons wrote on Instagram on Monday night. ‘I was made aware of the false narrative after coming to the defense of my ex Carlee Russell.’
Blindsided by love….
The jilted ex said he and his ‘family’s nature was to react in love, and genuine concern,’ adding that they are ‘disgusted from the outcome of this entire situation’ and that he was ‘blindsided with Carlee’s amazing swimsuit photos actions.’
Simmons noted that although the investigation into the elaborate hoax remains ongoing, his family has gained ‘closure’ after Carlee Russell came clean and apologized for her actions.
‘Thank you to all my family, friends, and the nation for support through this,’ he wrote. ‘The severity in this matter has not been overlooked, and I deeply respect the genuine support shared during this situation.’
On Monday, Russell’s attorney Emory Anthony said in a statement read by Hoover Police Chief Nicholas Derzis: ‘There was no kidnapping … my client did not see a baby.’
‘My client did not leave the Hoover area. My client apologizes for her actions to this community … Carlee asks for your forgiveness and prayers,’ Anthony wrote.
Russell vanished mysteriously on the night of July 13, shortly after she called 911 to report that she spotted a toddler wearing a T-shirt and diaper walking barefoot along busy Interstate 459.
Dubious Google searches
The 25 year old promised to remain at the scene but was nowhere to be found when cops arrived less than three minutes later, with cops finding her red Mercedes-Benz with her cellphone and wig inside.
Russell suddenly reappeared at her parents’ home two days later, claiming she had been abducted and held captive.
She was taken to a hospital and agreed to a police interview, but then stopped cooperating in the probe.
Investigators later discovered that Carlee had Googled the Liam Neeson flick “Taken,” in which he portrays a retired CIA agent who races to save his daughter from kidnappers.
Other dubious internet searches on the day of the alleged abduction included Russell researching one-way tickets from Birmingham to Nashville and whether victims have to pay for AMBER Alerts.

Other searches included, ‘How to take money from a register without being caught?’
Russell also researched terms relating to kidnapping and disappearances.
In the days prior to Carlee’s story being exposed as a total sham, the ‘loyal simp boyfriend’ had earlier deleted all evidence of Russell from his social media while also demanding people to stop harassing her online.
‘I want everyone to stop bullying her. I know what it seems like what she did. Just stop bullying on social media,’ Simmons told media.
‘Think about her mental health. She doesn’t deserve that. She doesn’t. Nobody deserves to be cyberbullied,‘ he added.
Also on Monday, Russell’s mother, Talitha Robinson-Russell, told the New York Times that ‘now is not a good time’ to discuss the sordid saga. Do you suppose?
To date no criminal charges have been filed against Russell as authorities continue to investigate the fracas and what increasingly believe was the forlorn actions of a mentally unhinged woman. Or as others wonder, the actions of a wanton media tabloid fixture desperate to also have her day in the 24/7 press cycle that dominates the dizzy American psyche…
