Luisa Cutting pleads guilty to murdering Radford University student, Alexa Cannon during drugs psychosis and is sentenced 20 years jail in the killing of her best friend and roommate.
A Virginia college student has pled guilty to stabbing her best friend and roommate more than 30 times during a psychotic rage whilst what she described ‘doing cocaine with the devil.’
Luisa Ines Tudela Harris Cutting, 21, pleaded guilty on Monday to the Jan. 24 slaying of Alexa Cannon and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, the Roanoke Times reported.
Luisa Cutting admitted to stabbing Cannon to death with a butcher knife in the off-campus apartment that the two students shared near Radford University in Southern Virginia.
Cutting had been binging on a cocktail of drugs — including cocaine, mushrooms, Adderall, Xanax and marijuana, according to the report.
During her confession to police, Cutting rambled about the apocalypse and said the Hail Mary prayer a number of times in Spanish.
She also repeatedly tried to shove her entire hand in her mouth.
During her sentencing Monday, Cutting offered a brief statement, asking for forgiveness and expressing regret for the killing.
‘There are no words for this tragedy and my heart is filled with sorrow and grief,’ she said.

Prior to the killing, Cannon shared glowing social media posts about Cutting, saying she was her best friend.
A regard of the two friends’ social media posts betrayed signs of fissure between the pair.
‘I met this girl two years ago online and somehow we ended up living across from each other for a year, this summer she was equivalent to my mom in Cancun. And unimaginably she still puts up with me and now we’re living together next year. Love you more Lu and everyone pray that we don’t kill each other this year,’ Cannon posted on Instagram (since removed) in March, 2018.
While a post Alexa shared on Instagram in June, 2018 hinted at further discord, ‘Exactly a month now we’re gonna be living together…..pray for us please and thank you.’
A post on Cannon’s Facebook page from July 2018 read: ‘So incredibly proud of my best friend, Luisa Cutting for becoming Latinos Student Alliance’s President! I know you’re going to be amazing with everything you do! Love you more!!’
‘Love you so so much,’ Cutting wrote in response to Cannon’s Facebook post.

Two days later, she wrote: ‘My roommate forgot to pay the gas bill and they won’t come turn it on until Monday and now there’s a snow storm on the way we’ll thank god I’ll be drunk all day.’
On January 20, four days before her murder, Alexa posted on Facebook, an image that read: ‘I stopped venting and started praying because I don’t need sympathy, I need strength.’
The following day, Cutting wrote on Twitter: ‘Dreams getting wilder and wilder.’
Unclear is the degree of rampant drug use seemingly between both women and how their behavior continued to go unchecked until it was all too late…
