Tisha Sanchez, Irving, Texas mother charged with capital murder after suffocating her son to death after ‘demons’ told her to ‘sacrifice’ the boy.
A Texas mother charged with capital murder told a relative that demons had told her to kill her 8-year-old son, police said.
Irving resident Tisha Sanchez, 30, was arrested after police found her son unresponsive in a RV parked in a backyard on Sunday. Dfw Cbs local identified the boy as Joevani De La Pena.
The relative told police that Sanchez said demons had told her to ‘sacrifice her son,’ and that ‘she needed to forgive her,’ the Dallas Morning News reported.
Cops found the child dead when they arrived at the home, according to the Dallas County medical examiner.
Grand Prarie News reported Sanchez killing the eight year old boy after suffocating him to death.
Sanchez was booked into Irving jail on Sunday and transferred to Dallas County jail on Monday. She faces a charge of capital murder as well as assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest stemming from a separate incident, KXAS-TV reported. No bail was set.
Sanchez’s motivation remains unclear. An investigation is ongoing, Irving police said in a news release.
