Celebrity gambling addicts: Big winnings and big losses too: Whether for the thrill, cause they have too much money, celebrities often bet big and the results can go either way.

With millions of dollars stashed in their bank accounts, it is not secret that celebrities love to spend money. Most of them are responsible gamblers who know when and how to gamble, while others are ridiculous losers who attract attention with every move they make by losing their cars and real estates in just one night!

Crazy, right? But what have they got to lose?

Literally nothing. A few hundred grand a night at the casino or on a gambling website is just like gas money to them; it won’t even make a dent in their wallets. Gambling is one of the most common addiction for celebrities. It’s a “thing” to find them in brick and mortar casinos, while others try to be discreet by using online gambling sites where you will see them working to wager on their favourite sporting events or game cards.

Celebrity gambling addicts: Enter 50 cents & Allen Iverson.

Obviously, gambling is an addiction. The well known celebrity 50 cents won some of the most ridiculous bets. Back in 2012, he earned $500,000 in the Super Bowl after betting on his favourite team the New York Giants, promising his grandma all the winnings. But what he did next was unbelievable. Staking all the money, 50 cents bet all the money again on the Giants, but luckily, he won a splashing $1 million! He was too happy that he quoted his prowess in gambling “straight to the bank” in his song.

50 cents is just among the lucky winners. There are losers and mega-losers, such as Allen Iverson. Being one of the most paid NBA superstars, Iverson had enough cash to gamble away every day. He started out small just like a majority of gamblers, but eventually, he ended up losing a majority of $200 million earning and a $50 million sponsorship deal with Reebok. His gambling addiction coupled with the alcohol problem led to a divorce and loss of custody to his five kids, further making him bankrupt and in debts.

In gambling, it doesn’t matter who you are. The impulsivity of gambling takes control over you, eventually making hard to stop, but with a disciplined routine, the after effects of gambling can be minimized.

It can make you rich and famous, or broke and bankrupt in a matter of seconds. The choice is yours.
