Christine Altro, 53 and her son, Christopher Altro a New York mother and son drug dealing team that allegedly masterminded the sale of heroin and prescription drugs from their upstate NY homes have been arrested.
Facing felony drug charges, the mother and son drug dealing duo would come to be busted after being the subjects of several stings reports
That said, what makes the bust even more intriguing is the fact that cops tell that the family never worked together to distribute the contraband.
The bust would come after the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team was tipped off that a woman was selling prescription painkillers while a man was selling heroin in nearby New Paltz.
Christine was allegedly selling both oxycodone and morphine from her Plattekille home.
Unfortunately for her, several of her customers also happened to be undercover cops.
The Poughkeepsie Journal reports the woman’s son falling for the same trap, except her was pushing heroin.
The Daily Freeman reports that each both mother and son were arrested in their homes around the same time last Wednesday afternoon.
The pair are now being held at the Ulster County Jail where they face two felony counts of selling drugs and two counts of possession with intent to distribute.
Christine Altro has a $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond bail.
Christopher’s bail is $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
