Two African American Brooklyn women, Precious Parker, 30 and Sabrina James, 23 were arrested this weekend after allegedly forcing out at gunpoint two men and a woman out of their Ocean ave, Brooklyn apartment on Thursday.
Cops have since told they believe the crime was motivated by race and class resentment with the nydailynews reporting that the two women had gained access to the apartment, on Ocean Ave. near Newkirk Ave. in Flatbush, after demanding that the tenants either move out or be killed.
The women then stole $800, an iPhone and personal information from the tenants, cops told.
A night porter who refused to give their name (can you guess why?) would corroborate that the tenants left after being accosted by the Brooklyn women.
‘They just left,’ he said. ‘They said somebody wants to kill them.’
The two women then squatted in the apartment until cops came to arrest them Saturday.
Sources would tell that the trio may have been targeted because of their race, as one of the women said she didn’t like ‘that white people were moving into the area.’
Both women were arrested in the apartment and charged with robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
Cops recovered a handgun.
Commentators on the web have wondered what the outcome and media attention (scant) may have been if the races were reversed….
So much for gentrification and the love of hipsters moving into the enclave of traditional African American neighborhoods and driving up the cost of living in surrounding quarters…
