Making headlines this afternoon is the interesting assertion courtesy of one French professor, Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon that wearing bras makes women’s breasts saggy.
According to a study the Professor who teaches at France’s Franche-Comté University commissioned, the professor has come away with the observation that wearing bras has a more detrimental effect on the sturdiness of women’s breast than not wearing them.
Observed the professor: “Medically, physiologically, anatomically—the breast derives no benefit from being denied gravity. On the contrary, it becomes saggier with a bra.”
Reveals the Professor: “….lifted an average of seven millimeters per year in relation to the shoulders,” if they didn’t wear a bra.
Nevertheless Rouillon has gone on to stres that the study was preliminary and that his subjects were not representative of the overall population of the world. It is understood his study tracked the breast developments of 330 women, aged 18 to 35, over the course of 15 years.
That said the Professor does go on to make a case that wearing not wearing a bra is not for everyone:
“It all depends on the structure of each breast. An overweight, 45-year-old woman with three kids has no business not wearing a bra.”
Indeed. Ladies isn’t it time you re assessed the perkiness of your breasts as well…?
