It was a special evening for amfAR and presenting sponsor, Hublot, when Roberto Cavalli and others were honored for leading the global struggle against HIV/AIDS. The black-tie benefit, which was hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker, featured a dinner, auction, and special performances by Janelle Monae and Theophilus London. For this special occasion, Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver and Hublot were pleased to announce the auction of the first timepiece of the new amfAR collection engraved with the signature of amfAR Founding Chairman Dr. Mathilde Krim, presented by Stanley Tucci and worn by Gloria Estefan.
Said designer Roberto Cavalli:
“You know, the music is part of my creation. When I created the man collection, I use the rock. When I create the woman, the evening [wear], oh my God I tell you honestly it’s sometimes classical.”
Other special guests included Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, Heidi Klum, Julianne Moore, Lindsay Lohan, Leighton Meester, Cindy Crawford, amfAR Chair Kenneth Cole, Padma Lakshmi, Jennifer Hudson, Carol Alt, Elizabeth Hurley, Miss Universe Leslie Lopes and more.
