This past Thursday saw a sprightly collective gather at Gotham Hall for Village Care’s Tulips and Pansies the Headress Affair.
With the too vibrant James Aguiar hosting, and his nemesis Village Voice’s Michael Musto upping the ante in the judge’s quarter- the audience was treated to a colorful and well intentioned melange whose sole purpose was to raise much needed funds. For those not in the know, Village Care is a non profit collective serving persons with Aids and Hiv as well as individuals in need of medical and rehabilitation services. With approximately 100 000 individuals afflicted in NYC alone, Village Care tends to at least 6000 individuals a year.
Alongside the boisterous Mr Musto, other judges included: Daphne Rubin Vega, Beth Broderick, and Mike Ruiz. The event chairs for the evening included PR guru and author- Kelly Cutrone, Fern Mallis (creator of NY Fashion week) and philanthropist Ariana Rockefeller.
