Celebrating 40 years of honoring artists, filmmakers, philanthropists, choreographers, and photographers, The New York Foundation for the Arts opened the doors of the Prince George Ballroom in New York City for the Annual Hall of Fame Benefit this past Tuesday evening, April 26, 2011. With an open bar by The Bubble Lounge and live Jazz intermixed between a silent auction and wall murals, the cocktail hour was a sure meet and greet for guests before the much more elaborate dinner.

Notable attendees included the Real New York Housewife Alex McCord and her husband Simon van Kempen, who flocked in at the last minute, pleasantly grabbing some attention before taking their seats in the ballroom. Alex, once again let her fashion sense outshine the event by throwing on a leather shawl which had me wondering was this another covert attempt at fashion faux pas much the same way in the first episode of this seasons Real Housewives of New York when she attended a wedding in a cream dress? Her husband Simon actually dressed accordingly with a simple suit and red bowtie. Kudos Simon, for not scaring the older generation with your infamous red leather pants (this time). Timo Weiland also sprinted into the practically cleared out reception hall to the gala with a genuine smile that surely shined.
