Pentales- The age of the literary salon has finally returned.

Saskia Miller.

Set in a gregarious Georgian house in the East Village (the settings change depending on who’s feeling most hospitable) I attended Pentale’s ‘Making ends meet.’ From what I was later told the themes change often, the only proviso being that they are tangible themes which will foster discussion and intrigue and of course a variety of points of views. A chief idea of the collective which aims to bring community and inspired discussion to the table.

Before I proceed I must say that the collective has shared meetings in as many far away locations as imagined, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Hamburg, San Francisco, London and Munich- with blank pentales book being passed from one member to another (the initiating and circulating topic at the discretion of the initial writer). I of course have yet to pass mine along, but I certainly will. I think my chosen theme will be fame or the lack of…oh dear.
