Eli Klein Fine Art’s fundraiser for the Jack Brewer Foundation was an eclectic mix of what seemed to be Isreali businessmen and professional football players, observing photographs of malnourished Malawi children and paintings from Chinese artists. It all came together to raise money to combat extreme poverty, focusing particularly on the almost two million orphaned children in Malawi. A fashion show of models dressed in Jack Brewer neckties was followed by a touching short film showing footage of Jack Brewer with the children he is helping in Malawi. The Chinese art was interesting (particularly the painting with Kung Fu Panda in it), the neck ties were classy, the audience was generous, and the night was a success, with one philanthropist promising to match all donations up to $25,000. If you saw Inception last night instead, you missed out.
