Jonathan Kayne’s collection evidently transpired as eveningwear seized the runway. Sleeveless corseted gowns brazened with sequins, lace, chiffon and mesh seemed to evoke a different era—Mediterranean festivals, Victorian ballrooms or royal galas. A mermaid dress, gold and sky blue with lace and net floral regroupings—finished in sequins—caught my eye, as did a black and grey almost Chinese patterned gown. Bright purples, pinks and bold electric blues silk, streaming fabrics set against sequins bodices—were the perfect finale to the firework spectacle.

The performance was magnificent, the designs were unique and Tela Beauty Organics, founded by Philip Pelusi was indeed “an Oasis in a Manhattan district that’s overflow with clubs, bars and late night vampire drama…We carry the largest organic tea selection in Manhattan,” notes creative designer Jeffrey Reitz, who—working with the company for over 32 years—praises the space on its multi-functionality and appeal to multiple walks of life.
