Linda Loudermilk, another honoree known for her top notch designs from sustainable fabrics, and stylist, was found to be in a laid back little powerful pixie vibe. Other honorees included I/denti/tee & partner Edun Live, supporting African workers and the cotton grown there, and the dynamic diva Chloe Jo Berman! (I have to use an “!” there. She is quite of the “!” persuasion.) A feisty vegan who’s message that animal rights and eco-friendly ness can be hot is shown through her booming blog. We chatted for a while as we were both sex pots who happen to choose what (who?) we eat and were with a greater conscious.
Of course we were not the only hot ladies there that night, propped up bar side, I watched a struggling wing man try to get his buddy, Marc, something to go home with … or even just say hello to him. Other men and women appeared to be well taken care of, dancing, socializing and sitting at the many tables situated around the club, crowded at the bar or in the upstairs munching on treats. After a brief introduction and the awards ceremony (all the folks from above got to go stage level, accept and smile pretty for a photo op with LL Cool J, host and fashion designer himself,) Tamarama got their performance on and the night bounced right along, beat by beat.
As LL Cool J could be heard saying as the mid twenty girls strummed up to him- “You guys feeling good? Sippie Sippie! Sippie! Yeah, I like that…”
