From one side of the bar to the other one could make out what appeared to be geisha girls, skinny boys, TV personalities and the fashion models that pretend to be them. Swerve, swivel, sip, taste the tequila left, ogle, pout, spit, turn to the right, click, flash and back to the left. If you have ever spend a mini lifetime in such circumstances you will eventually come to find yourself loving the whole thing until the hangover and other inconvenient surprises catch up with you.
Clicking like mad fiends and (yes mixing our drinks) we finally came across Patricia herself, the heralded downtown (and now uptown) doyen of fashion, propagator of Carrie’s ‘Sex in the City’ impossibly brilliant fashion scene. We kind of just looked at each other, raised our glasses, smiled bashfully and sheepishly like the eight hundred other souls in there wished Patricia an amazing birthday.
Wished her a happy birthday while the geisha girls looked on nonplussed at all this delicious nonsense.
