Lindsay Clancy holdout juror, Michael P. Desronvil, ignites debate as lawyer calls him hero as ‘black Republican’ juror’s prior past comes into focus, including claims of domestic violence as a fundraiser on behalf of the ‘outed’ juror reaches over $300K as he remains in ‘secret’ location.

The attorney for the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy case, which ended in a mistrial this month, has described him as “an American hero,” a “champion of justice” and a supporter of President Donald Trump.

Edward Paltzik in a released statement on Thursday, Sept. 17, urged supporters to pray for the ‘hold-out’ juror, Michael P. Desronvil, and to ‘protect him’.

The comments come amid fiery ongoing debate as to whether Desronvil had made the ‘right decision’ not to acquit the Mass mom accused of ‘planning’ on killing her 3 children while many have argued the mother, struggling with acute mental health issues related to childbirth should be acquitted by reasons of insanity, and who had been ongoing suffering postpartum psychosis.

Lone holdout juror causes furore and debate

In the release, the lawyer stated that Desronvil, 48, a resident of Plymouth County, Mass. is ‘presently safe and sound at an undisclosed secure location in a rural area of Northern New England.’

Stated the release further, ‘This American Hero and Champion of Justice loves the United States of America as the greatest country in the world; cherishes our sacred Constitution as the pinnacle of human liberty; and supports our amazing leader, President Donald J. Trump, as a fellow defender of common-sense, liberty, and sanity.’

Desrinvil, a father from a Haitian immigrant family and a ‘devout’ Christian stated that they had weighed the evidence and believed that the slayings had been intentionally and knowingly acted out and that there had been enormous pressure to cede to the other 11 jurors who had sought to acquit Clancy.

‘I didn’t have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present,’ Desronvil said in a statement to NewsNation on Thursday. ‘Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she [Clancy] knew exactly what she was doing and planned.’

Revelations of the hold out juror’s identity, a black male, previously led to CBS ‘woke’ anchor, Gayle King stating,Whoa, I have to sit with that for just a second.’

As the public digested Desronvil’s insistence that Clancy was indeed guilty of murder and should not be acquitted, a report soon surfaced which brought into question the character and juror’s own prior history.

NBC 10 outed the hold-out juror, reporting that Desronvil had been previously charged with misdemeanor domestic violence assault in 2021. Of note, the charge was later dismissed. Desronvil’s 13-year-old nephew according to a police report, called 911 alleging that he saw his uncle grab his then-wife by the throat and throw her against a dresser. Desronvil’s mom is alleged to have repeatedly screamed, ‘You’re evil!’ as police arrested him.

After the charge involving his then-wife was dismissed, Desronvil divorced her.

Last year, the same teenage nephew who had called 911 obtained a restraining order against Desronvil after alleging he had pushed him to the ground and repeatedly punched him in the face.

According to NBC10, Desronvil also faced eviction proceedings after supposedly failing to pay about $12,000 in rent for months.

The holdout juror in the weeks long trial wanted to convict Clancy, while the other 11 jurors wanted to find her not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility. Jurors also had the option of finding Clancy guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder or manslaughter.

Hold out juror targeted by ‘woke’ liberal media?

Desronvil reportedly believes he’s been “targeted” by the media over the mistrial because he’s a staunch Republican on a jury panel he claimed was mostly leftist “activists,” according to YouTuber Ray Marcel, who posted a video to his channel “Fugitive TV” on Tuesday, recounting an hour-long, off-camera interview he said he had with the holdout juror.

‘We started talking. [Desronvil] thinks he knows why he might be getting targeted. He’s a Republican. He is a black Republican. He has conservative views,’ said Marcel — who is acting as a representative on behalf of Desronvil, according to his lawyer.

In a separate statement released Friday, Sept. 18, Desronvil’s attorney said his client would not be giving any interviews, nor would the attorney give interviews on his behalf.

‘We are focused entirely on his health, safety, and well-being,” Paltzik said. “There will be a time for accountability and a time for the real story of the Lindsay Clancy Trial to be told. But not right now.’

A GiveSendGo fundraiser on behalf of the hold-out ‘lone juror’ started by one of his supporters on September 13 come at the time of publishing had raised over $300K.
