The husband and wife’s relationship appeared to be wrought with physical and emotional abuse and that one of the parties had sought to end the relationship.

Wrote Shannon Weaver: ‘Ashley Hall and Goodbyetree Daniel Hall. Devastating. My deepest nightmare and fear for 25 years. I am so heartbroken for their families and friends, for our community even. I’m praying but my heart says we need to take action to find a way to help domesticly abused people escape when they truly want too. I had no resources and no where to go where I could safely hide me and my children. I stayed and am in awe that I am alive.

‘Sadly Ashley is gone from the people who loved and cherished her and her space can never be filled. My life goal will be to find a way to help those who need and want help who are going through what I went through. Know that Your silence is not weak. I understand it’s for your safety. God will help you find a way and I’m begging Him to give me the resources to help you in the physical. My wheels are turning. I will not let this rest. Ashley is my motivation as are all that deal with abuse.’

Shared Ashley Hall on her Facebook wall on June 26, ‘Healings begin when you stop asking, ‘How do I make them understand? and start asking, ‘Why do I keep offering my heart to someone who refuses to hold it carefully?’
