A TikTok star and mother of four who built a large following documenting the day to day struggles and triumphs of raising her young family died over the weekend in a car crash in Alabama.
Alyshia Rushing, 26, (@alyshia.rushing) best known as Mama A was killed on Saturday following a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery, Alabama according to a GoFundMe fundraiser launched in her memory.
The crash happened around 2:15am on southbound I-85, between Mitylene and Taylor roads, Embrace Life Media reported. Both male drivers died at the scene. A female passenger was taken to the hospital with serious but initially non-life-threatening injuries. One of the vehicles was on fire when first responders arrived. The initial report did not name the female passenger.
Everyday mom documented daily triumphs and struggles of parenthood
Just one day before her passing, Alyshia posted a video on Facebook doing what she loved most: living the mom life with her babies.
A GoFundMe titled ‘In Loving Memory of Alyshia ‘Mama A’ Rushing’ has been set up to help her four children, Karter, Raelynn, Zoey, and Aydan. As per the fundraiser page, Alyshia was ‘their mother, caregiver, provider, safe place, and greatest source of love,’ and her children are now adjusting to life without her while their father takes on full responsibility for their care.
The fundraiser states that donations will go toward the children’s immediate and ongoing needs, including food, clothing, housing, school expenses, transportation, childcare, activities, and counseling. It also notes that funds will help their father ‘prepare for future expenses’ so the children ‘can continue growing, learning, and healing in a safe and supportive environment.’
Alabama everyday mom’s rise to prominence
Rushing rose to prominence amongst her 516K plus followers sharing everyday moments from her life as a young mother. Through her social media content, she documented the realities of raising her children, from happy family moments to the challenges and stresses that came with motherhood.
Her openness helped her build a large following on TikTok, where hundreds of thousands of people regularly watched her videos and followed along with her family life.
News of Rushing’s death spread across social media, prompting an outpouring of grief from followers who said they felt as though they had come to know her and her family through her videos.

Alyshia’s followers took to social media to share their grief.
One fan wrote, ‘I’ve been an emotional wreck since yesterday finding out about Alyshia Rushing like crying real tears.
