Kira Faust, Aberdeen, Maryland teen mom and former daycare worker arrested on child neglect charges leaving 6 month old home to go meet friends at Bel Air McDonald’s.
A Maryland teen mom is alleged to have left her 6-month-old baby home alone so she could meet friends at a local McDonald’s.
Kira Faust, 19, was arrested in Aberdeen on Monday after police were alerted to an infant left alone in a property, according to a statement by the Aberdeen Police Department.
Cops take take temporary custody of the child while CPS get involved
‘Upon arrival, officers located the infant unattended in unsafe and unsanitary living conditions,’ police stated.
‘With assistance from the Bel Air Police Department, officers located Faust, who stated she had left the child home alone while she went to meet friends at a McDonald’s in Bel Air,’ police said.
‘Aberdeen Police took temporary custody of the child, and UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Aberdeen provided officers with essential baby supplies while Child Protective Services worked to secure a safe placement for the child,’ the statement continued.
Teen mom previously worked as daycare worker
According to cops, Faust was found at the fast-food restaurant around 10 miles from where the baby was left alone. While the release declined to state the dynamic between the abandoned baby and Faust who had previously worked in daycare, commentators overwhelmingly inferred that she was the child’s parent.
Following her arrest, Faust was charged with child neglect and was later released on her own recognizance, according to police.
But it gets crazier.
Faust according to LinkedIn profile had most recently worked as a daycare teacher at Churchville Presbyterian Preschool and Daycare in Aberdeen.
The daycare did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
