Olaolukitan Adon Abel arrested in Dekalb County shooting spree in Georgia that leaves 2 women killed & man critically injured in 3 separate random unprovoked attacks. One of the fatalities is identified as Lauren Bullis of Decatur, who was killed while walking her dog.

Georgia authorities have arrested a suspect who they allege went on a shooting spree Monday morning where they reportedly killed two women along with critically injuring a male who was shot ‘multiple times’ at a third location.

Olaolukitan Adon Abel, 26, was arrested in Troup County late Late Monday afternoon, Brookhaven police said.

The man’s arrest follows the suspect inflicting his carnage earlier that morning in which Abel is alleged to have fired off multiple rounds from a rental vehicle at a 49-year-old homeless man sleeping outside the Cherokee shopping center in Brookhaven around 1:30 a.m. The victim in that shooting remained in hospital in critical condition, Atlanta News First reported.

Adon Abel is alleged to have then shot and killed 40-year-old Lauren Bullis of Decatur just a few hours later circa 6:50 a.m as she walked her dog. DeKalb County police stated Bullis being shot and stabbed outside a house on the 2800 block of Battle Forrest Drive in Panthersville.

DeKalb police said a K-9 unit searched for a suspect in the neighborhood but could not find one.

A witness, Tiffany Williams, a local neighbor told 11Alive that they heard six or seven gunshots. She then saw Bullis lying at the end of her driveway and the suspect standing over her before fleeing the man fleeing the scene.

Witness accounts suggest the assault was sudden and unprovoked, and authorities believe the victim did not know the suspect.

Abel is reported to have shot and killed a second woman, whose identity was not revealed outside a Checkers in unincorporated Decatur. DeKalb County police said that woman was shot to death outside a Checkers restaurant on Wesley Chapel Road around 12:50 a.m.

No known motive in Dekalb County shooting spree

Brookhaven police said they believe there is no connection between Adon Abel and the man in the Kroger shooting. DeKalb County police stated it appeared there were no connections between the suspect and the victims in the two deadly shootings and that they were likely randomly targeted in unprovoked attacks.

‘Through the diligent and coordinated work of our Homicide Unit, investigators were able to quickly establish a connection between these two incidents,’ a news release from the DeKalb County Police Department said. ‘Investigators identified the suspect vehicle as a silver Volkswagen Jetta, which was observed leaving the first crime scene. Utilizing investigative tools, including surveillance and technology resources, the suspect vehicle was tracked outside of DeKalb County.’

Prior criminal record included sexual battery

Adon-Abel appears to have court records from last year in Chatham County, where they show an ‘Adon Olaolukitan‘ pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor counts of sexual battery for groping incidents reported by four different victims in Savannah on April 20, 2025.

Of note, he was given a suspended four-year jail sentence and put on probation. He was also banned from Savannah for four years and ordered to obtain a ‘psychosexual social evaluation’ as part of the sentence.

Current charges and murder charges forthcoming

Authorities to date have charged Adon Abel in connection with the Kroger shooting, where he was booked on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Officials have not said what charges the 26-year-old is facing in connection to the deadly shootings of the two women.

DeKalb County police said it is not known if there are any connections to the victims in the two deadly shootings, according to ANF.
