A New Jersey man is alleged to have shot and killed his estranged wife at her place of work as she turned up to work her shift at a rehab center in Egg Harbor Township, N.J, before then taking his own life.
Brandon Alexander, 35, of Minotola, N.J, according to investigators, was waiting for his estranged wife, Victoria Alexander, 38, (also of Minotola) when she pulled up at the Excel Care Rehabilitation Center, Monday morning, where he proceeded to block her vehicle with his own.
Husband left behind two suicide notes
The husband reportedly left two suicide notes on the dashboard before alighting and getting in Victoria’s vehicle. When a food delivery truck beeped for him to move, Victoria seized the chance to run inside for help. Brandon in turn chased her into the building and shot her multiple times, before then turning the murder weapon on himself. He died at the hospital the following morning.
Victoria Alexander who died at the scene, worked at the rehab center as a nurse according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
No known motive
That shooting, officials said, happened at about 6 a.m. at the nursing home, located along the 6800 block of Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township.
Not immediately clear is how long the couple had been separated and whether there had been previous instances of domestic violence between the couple.
Police have not provided details about the contents of the suicide notes or any prior history between the couple.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
