Boynton Beach murder-suicide in Florida leaves landlord owners dead and gunman dead after suspect walking off street and into office building and fatally shooting the victims before taking their own life during police pursuit.

Two male office workers at a Boynton Beach, Florida office were shot and killed after a suspect gunman walked in and gunned down the two victims before taking their own life after fleeing the scene.

Boynton Beach Police in a Facebook release stated being called to an office building near the 2400 block of High Ridge at about 4 p.m, January 12th, following reports of gunfire. Upon arriving, responding officers found two people ‘suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.’

Police then followed up on a call of a ‘suspicious vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle.’ Police located that vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted ‘a high-risk traffic stop.’ The suspect sped away with officers in pursuit until he crashed.

‘At that point, the suspect was found with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound,’ police said.

Investigators believe the suspect shot himself while he was driving and crashed after the shot.

‘The investigation is still ongoing; however, we do know both the suspect and the victims knew each other, but were not related.’ said Boynton Beach Police Chief Joe DeGiulio, according to WPBF.

Jackie Ellis, who owns KW Innovations, a nearby business, told WPLG that she knew the victims.

Victims and suspect shooter knew each other

‘Turns out the two gentlemen who were shot and killed were friends of ours,’ she told the outlet. ‘They were the landlords and owners of our building — the nicest men. This is devastating.’

‘Whenever we would run into them, which is often out here. We would give them a hug, they would hug us just beautiful men and beautiful people,’ Ellis added.

Detectives have not identified the business where the shooting happened, only saying that it was an office.

Investigators say they are working to figure out the circumstances that led up to the double murder-suicide shooting.

The victims nor the suspect have not been identified.
