2 dead, 9 injured, no arrest: Brown University video of shooting suspect released shows man in his 30’s, dressed in black leaving engineering department at the Barus and Holley building amid ongoing manhunt as school remains on lockdown.
‘Chilling’ video has captured a gunman ‘calmly’ walking away from the engineering department at Brown University moments after having shot dead two and injured another 9 individuals.
The un-identified gunman continued to remain at large and eluded capture as the university continues to remain in lockdown and students barricaded inside classrooms.
The suspect is alleged to have entered a classroom at the Barus and Holley building of the school’s engineering department where final week exams were taking place and opened fire, leaving two dead and nine injured, of whom three were critically wounded.

Released footage (see below) shows the gunman in the aftermath, dressed in black ‘calmly’, his back and side to the camera, leaving the scene.
The footage did not reveal the shooter’s face, but showed him in dark clothing and what appeared to be a bomber jacket with black boots and gloves.
The gunman’s head was covered by a beanie.
The suspect was seen quickly pacing down Hope street before turning the corner at Waterman st and continuing according to the Providence Journal.
Officials said the suspect continued to remain at large, as the Ivy League school’s campus continued to remain lockdown with more than 400 police officers searching for the suspect gunman.
During a Saturday evening press conference, officials said preliminary indications indicated the man was in his 30s.
Was gunman still on campus, planning another attack?
At the time of the mass shooting, just on 4.22 p.m, local time, the gunman was wearing a camouflaged, gray mask.
The man left the engineering building on the Hope Street side and was then spotted walking toward Waterman Street, officials said.
Offered Timothy O’Hara, the deputy Providence police chief, ‘If anybody should recognize this person in any way – seen him earlier, recognize his gait – obviously, we want to know about that.’
A map released by the university showed the area around Waterman Street and Hope Street, where the suspect was last seen exiting the engineering building, cordoned off.
A police perimeter has been established around part of Brown University’s campus, amid an ongoing manhunt for the suspect. It remained unclear of the wanted gunman was still on campus, planning further attacks or had already left the scene.
The Ivy League school urged students in residential buildings within the perimeter to continue sheltering in place.
