An 18-year-old Pennsylvania man accused of shooting his parents, killing his mother and injuring his father, has been arrested a day after fleeing the family’s Greene County residence.
West Virginia State Police arrested Jared Noll on Saturday in connection with a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in Greene County, PA. Pennsylvania State Police in a release said troopers were called to a home in New Freeport, PA, for reports of a shooting and found a man and woman, identified as a married couple, with gunshot wounds.
The shooting led to the mother dying of gunshot wounds and the suspect’s father initially hospitalized but later released.

Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a residence on Garrison Ridge Road in New Freeport shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Friday following reports of gunfire, CBS News reported.
When police arrived, they discovered two people outside the home; both had gunshot wounds.
Present at the time of the shooting were the shooter’s younger siblings who were uninjured.
Following the shooting, Noll fled the scene by foot disappearing into the dense forest surrounding Garrison Ridge Road, according to CBS News.
Wanted New Freeport man arrested after tip to be extradited
Police apprehended Noll and took him into custody after a tip led to someone matching his description on foot, just across the Pennsylvania state line in Wetzel County, West Virginia, late Saturday afternoon. According to the police, Noll was armed at the time of his arrest.
Noll will be extradited to Pennsylvania and faces charges of homicide and attempted homicide.
Police had yet to say what led to the son targeting his parents and if there had been previous episodes at the family home.
