Suniya Jenkins, Detroit teen stabbed at Kids Foot Locker after woman has card declined at cash register in assault that led to her being stabbed in the neck, stomach and thigh by Tiffany Rose Williams.
A Michigan woman shopping at a Kids Foot Locker with children allegedly lost her sh*t after someone behind her in line called her a ‘broke b—’ after her card being declined, leading to her stabbing a teenager who she believed to have uttered the words.
Suniya Jenkins, 19, who maintains never saying anything told WJBK that she was inside the Kids Foot Locker store at Southland Center mall in Taylor, Detroit on Wednesday, November 5th when the female suspect lost her cool after the comment was made before ‘randomly being stabbed.’
Teen victim sympathizes with violent mom
Jenkins insists she was not the one who reportedly made the statement about the suspect being a ‘broke b—’ but says she did enter the Foot Locker to see what was going on after hearing a commotion.
‘I think it was unfair to me to get stabbed,’ Jenkins told WJBK, noting the woman allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab her neck, stomach and thigh. ‘To start, I was stabbed four times and I have a punctured lung right now.’
Jenkins alleges that the suspect, since identified as 42-year-old Detroit woman, Tiffany Rose Williams, was screaming at people near the Foot Locker register when she began snapping at the teen. She says the woman had children with her.
‘As the argument got verbal, she put her hand in her purse and proceeded to tell me she was going to shoot me,’ Jenkins alleged. ‘I did not see or even know I was stabbed until after the physical altercation.’
‘I am going to press charges, but it does sadden me because I don’t want her to be taken away from her children, I truly don’t,’ Jenkins said.
Jenkins is expected to make a full recovery.
Detroit mom caught trying to flee crime scene
Cops arrested Tiffany Williams after she was observed exiting the mall and walking toward the parking lot according to Detroit News.
Williams was arraigned Friday on charges of assault with intent to murder, felonious assault, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
Bond was set at $250,000.
