Wexford County Sheriffs Office and Michigan State Police confirmed a body to be found in the Manistee National Forest, in Boon Township.

9 & 10 News reported the missing woman’s father finding her body while out searching for her along a two-track road in an area near her mother’s home in Boon Township.

Investigators say the body resembled that of Rebecca Park, while saying a positive confirmation was pending an autopsy, UpNorthLive reported.

Officials said the case is still under investigation and that more more information would be released in the days ahead.

Park was last seen getting into a dark-colored vehicle outside of her mother’s home on South 21 1/2 Road in Boon Township on November 3.

At the time of her disappearance, Rebecca Kay Park was reported as being 5’02” and weighing approximately 140 lbs.

Who is the father of Rebecca Kay Park’s child?

Park, who was approximately 39 weeks pregnant, has not been seen or heard from since November 3.

Her cellphone was found discarded along a nearby two-track road by her mother

Park’s mother, Courtney Bartholomew, was the last person to see her alive.

Deputies reported that Park had arranged to be picked up but did not disclose to the witness who would be picking her up.

After allegedly witnessing Rebecca get into the vehicle, Cortney sent numerous text messages to Richard Lee Falor, the father of Rebecca’s unborn baby… who is also Cortney’s ex.

Despite not having a close relationship, Cortney sounded almost frantic in her messages to him. They said, “Call me back asap” “Rich it’s Cortney call me back” “dude call me” “ur ole lady took off with some dude in a black car.”

Rebecca’s cell phone was found a couple days later on a nearby road by Park’s mother.

Facebook page, Abby Blabby True Crime News stated social media posts saying that both Cortney and Rich having criminal histories including sexual assault.

More questions than answers

On the day she disappeared, investigators said Park received about $2,000 from a family inheritance, which authorities suggest could help her avoid electronic tracking.

Despite this, friends said she had no plans to leave.

Investigators received tips and believed that Park and her child could have been in danger. Authorities have said the baby may have been born before Park died and that Park lacked the skills and ability to care for an infant.

Not clear is how Rebecca Kay ended up being found at the location she was found, whether by her own machinations or whether her body had been placed there.

The cause and manner of death was pending an autopsy.

Officials to date declined to say whether they suspected foul play.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case.

There was no immediate word Tuesday on the unborn child’s status. The unborn baby’s due date had been November 19.

According to 9 & 10, a $12,000 reward was previously offered for any information. Those with information at the time were asked to contact Wexford Central Dispatch and ask for a sheriff’s deputy at 231-779-9211.
