Florida woman cuts boyfriend with machete after trying to break up with her

A South Miami, Florida woman is accused of domestic violence after using a machete on her boyfriend after an argument over alleged infidelity.

Liz ‘Vanessa’ Frechel, 46, is alleged to have attacked her victim boyfriend after the couple getting into an argument after the man coming across images of his girlfriend holding hands with another man on her cellphone during a dinner date on Nov. 20 at the Texas Roadhouse in Fontainebleau, according to a police officer’s arrest report.

The outraged man left the venue after their dispute escalating only to later drive to her home on Nov. 21 near Southwest 72 Street and 62 Avenue to drop off her medication, her glasses, and a mug, after making the decision to part ways with the woman, according to the police report.

Dinner date from hell

‘You are not going anywhere … You are going to pay … I am going to kill you,’ Frechel is alleged to have shouted upon the boyfriend dropping off the items to the girlfriend according to the police report cited by WPLG.

Frechel then allegedly went to her closet and pulled out a machete according to the police report. Frechel’s neighbor reported hearing loud noises that included a woman yelling, items thrown around, and a man crying.

The aggrieved managed to escape after the girlfriend attacking him with a machete and injuring him.

Police officers met the victim at the South Miami Hospital Emergency Department after he suffered a ‘deep laceration’ to his right elbow.

Police officers arrested Frechel shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 21 at her home, and corrections booked her at about 11:25 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Frechel appeared in bond court on Nov. 22. She faced charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment with a deadly weapon.

Court records show a Miami-Dade judge ordered Frechel to stay away from the victim, denied her bond for the attempted murder charge, and set her bond for the other two charges at $15,000.

Frechel’s next court appearance is for Nov. 25.
