A Texas teen is alleged to have forced unsuspecting bar patrons to watch a ‘revenge p*rn’ sex tape between her and her ex boyfriend.
Taylor Richard, 18, following her arrest earlier this week faces up to two years jail for charges of unlawful disclosure of an intimate video.
The intimate scene was filmed in her boyfriend’s truck on Valentine’s Day in Montgomery County shortly before the couple broke up, according to the woman’s former partner, Michael Bassett.
Betrayal of trust and bond
Speaking to ABC13, Bassett alleges his then-girlfriend askim him to record the explicit video on her phone. The man claims asking Richard to delete the footage after their relationship ended shortly after. But she never did.
Bassett claims learning through a Snapchat group on Monday that the sex tape still existed and that his ex girlfriend had been sharing scenes with unsuspecting patrons of the local bar District 249 in Tomball, about 28 miles north west of Houston according to the dailymail.
Friends of Basset who were at the bar reached out to the ex boyfriend to tell him about the video.
‘I really wish I didn’t do it, she had me record it on her phone,’ Bassett reflected of the ordeal.
‘It really is extremely embarrassing. I took those out of confidence, not thinking. I don’t have an OnlyFans or anything, I don’t sell pictures of my body.’
According to Bassett, some of his customers of his Diesel maintenance business decided to part way after watching the sex tape.
‘I can handle my friends messing with me and whatnot. I can’t handle when I start losing money,’ the jilted ex boyfriend said.
Order of protection issued against abusive ex girlfriend
Richard was arrested that evening and then formally charged on Wednesday according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
To date Richards has publicly declined commenting on the video, or why she chose to share it without her ex boyfriend’s permission.
Incredulously, Bassett claims his ex calling him from jail following the arrest, demanding that he drop charges against her (imagine if the genders were reversed….).
‘She was just like, ‘Are you going to drop the charges?’ And this, that and the other. I’m like, ‘No, you have a lesson’,’ Bassett told ABC13.
Richards was released on a recognizance bond and has also been ordered to stay away from Bassett.
The ex boyfriend is hoping Richards adheres to the protection order but says the damage has already been done.
Said Bassett: ‘My advice to other young men is just avoid taking videos and whatnot ’cause tomorrow’s promised to nobody.
‘Your relationship is not promised to you tomorrow and these women are out here can be evil.’
