Police say Hodnett was found dead from gunshot wounds. Cops arrested his twin brother Kiias Hodnett, who police allege shot Kiian ‘multiple times,’ shortly before calling 911, 6.15 p.m, Friday, FOX5 reported.
In a Facebook post, a woman identifying the men as her nephews said she’s hurting for both of them.
‘I’m praying for them both. Mental illness is such a thing and I wish it was more of us can agree and admit to it and let the younger generation know that ITS (sic) OK,’ wrote Shan Staples, alongside photos of the two men.
‘It can be ok and seek help if/when needed… These boys have been through [so] much over the years and felt as NO ONE understood them as if they were the only ones on this DARK A– PLANET CALLED EARTH,’ she added.
LaGrange police did not comment on whether mental illness was a factor in the shooting.
Kiias has been charged with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, per LaGrange police.
Police to date have declined to comment on the murder motive as they continue to investigate.
